It was a decision by Roche and paulinho not contador. DS gave them the all clear after they got a gap. Bad decision

If it had worked it would have been great. Now it doesn't work, not much is lost either. At this point in the race those 2 don't have that much use anymore anyway.

It wasn't his decision to send those two up the road after the breakaway group went away. In any case, it looks like Contador might change his ambitions to a stage win now.

Possible it was that anyway - see the tears yesterday as Froome crossed the line. When was his last one anyway? 2010?
