That was so dumb. Why did they attack with both Contador and Kreuziger, and then only have Roman pull? I thought Contador went with a domestique.

Come on.... How many matches did they burn on the descent? What else were they going to do? One - two punch on the ascent, sure. Putting pressure on Froome on a really bad descent is not a bad tactic. It didn't work a Froome will kill them on the last climb.

It would have been in Movistars interest to let Sky do the work and not try to bring them back. The more time Kreuziger spent off the front the more energy he used. Sky would have chased them down eventually, it would be more in Quintana's interest to let them Kreuziger stay off the front longer and use up more energy.

Plus Movistar could save their riders for the ascent if their needed.

Exactly. They should have left Kreuziger burn everything he has trying to hep Contador. Chasing them down before the ascent didn't make any sense for them. I think the dumbass morons at Moviestar still riding for the stage, not the podium.
