Richie would have podiumed this race, people saying what if with Valverde the same can be said about Porte. It looks like Australia have a passing of the torch from Cadel Evans to Richie Porte.

No he wouldn't. Valverde had bad luck, Porte actually got dropped.

Thanks Phil - "Tejay van Garderen at this point must be thinking about the possibility of a win today."

No, really? I thought he got into that breakaway to see the scenery.

Oh my god. I hope he's been thinking about a win much longer before just now.

Purito and Quintana obviously slowed right down. Froome was in trouble. And now Porte has caught up. Riding your own pace on big climbs is im'porte'ant

Even though a stage win for TJ would be fully deserved, I'm kinda sad the peloton didn't gave Purito/Quintana a chance for a great stage win.....

What kept their teams from setting a stronger pace from earlier on, not just from the second turn on Huez?

Phil is just the best, what a man. Dont see how it is a complete farce what porte is doing. He had a rest day basically yesterday when all these other guys went full on

C.F not as strong as usual, but looks like Sky, Mov and Kat are the ones forming an alliance as they are all helping each other. Maybe AC will regret the sarcastic thumbs up what you lot think?

:D God, that comment was seriously silly. Even by P&P's usual low standards

Contador might actually keep even his second place and Kreuziger his third place. Difference between the two groups is stabilized around 1:15.
