Glad to see Bardet score his first victory as a Pro. He has great potential and steadily improved this season, but he had had a hard time just scoring that first victory to lose his "virginity" so to speak (on Paris Nice and Route du Sud he was close twice). That victory can also help him unlock his potential. Great victory. And obviously very happy for Poels too !

He's improved massively since turning pro last year. All signs point to him being an excellent GC rider next year, with podium potential in a particularly weak field. He was top15 in this year Tour. Very aggressive rider too, he lost plenty of time because of attacks from afar.
