I do wonder if his dropping 11 minutes on stage 2 was entirely tactical so if the situation arises he can go in the breaks and GC teams won't be helping the chase for HIM specifically ?

well, sure he did. As he was trying to be part of many breaks since the start of the stage. And apart from that, yesterday, he was fully rested on that climb, and the climbers were tired from the previous day. That helped too to even the strengths a little bit.

sagan sagan sagan...

1,2,3... he'll win, start again and win and then start again and win, before anyone else has finished once

why do you think so? Obviously he is in good shape, but he is still no pure sprinter, there are a couple of guys in here which are just faster than him.

If they have the form remains to be seen, but I'd rate Kristoff and Demare higher than Sagan for today's stage

Having watched this on Eurosport for the last few years, anyone know why Eurosport have chosen not to show it in UK this year?

IMG Media is selling the broadcasting rights for international coverage as far as I know, propably they asked for too much money and Eurosport declined

Annoying also that Al JAzeera Sport +3 or w/e it is isn't on my Sky+, would have been nice to watch it all on Monday after my long weekend @ Download.

Their commentators are quite good too.

Shame for the sponsors of the teams. Fewer viewers means less exposure.

Matt Keenan?

Sometimes he has Magnus Backstedt. Backstedt seems to be going off the boil, way too many "errms, arrs and pauses". He must be overdoing the triathlons and might be way too tired to provide analysis.

That's what many days of sitting next to Kirby does to you

I laughed when Backstedt said yesterday "Yeah its just race after race for these riders, i remember it myself, you never know what day it is and then you go to the supermarket on a Sunday and its closed and then all you can do is go to a nice restaurant"

I havent been to a "nice restaurant" in six months.
