On a more serious note, Pinot will lose a lot in the flat first half of the TT, he can't contend FTW. TJVG however, can still win the race like you mentioned, if he has a really good day. He climbs better in TT's(even on steep climbs) than he does in outright mountain stages.

Pentacycle said:He has 11(almost 12), but does that necessarily matter? He's won a Tour stage and he's on his way to win two successive editions of the Tour de Suisse. It's better than winning ToC or a bunch of **** small stages.
Parrulo said:Netserk posted it somewhere but i am too lazy to look for it. And its not like its really necessary as he will edit my post and add it when he sees this thread.
I know you too well Net
Jason_Mercier said:Of course is important... its like here with Costa you're talking like he's a kind of god, a Michele Bartoli or something like that... and he's not more than a Kim Kirchen
Parrulo said:So let me see if i follow your line of thought.
If the rider you want to win wins, its because they are clean. If not, its because the guy who won is doping?
uhhmm . . . ok. Anyway take it to the clinic if you want.
Back on topic:
Wasn't the climb on the ToC itt shorter and the flatter part longer? I don't recall it very well.

Netserk said:Gave you the Flumserberg profile for the cost of including Kreuziger amongst the favourites

Pentacycle said:I don't know many riders of his age with such important victories. Some have a Tour stage, some have a WT stage race to their name, and others have a classic. Daniel Martin is at a similar level, with LBL, Catalunya and a Vuelta stage. Costa also hasn't reached his full potential in the classics either, imo. He has the capacities to win a race like LBL.
Big Doopie said:You forget he rides for moviestar, appears once a season instead of the entire year, and didn't finish 5th in the TDF.
So he must be a god.

BigMac said:Please don't you use that kind of cheap sarcasm. Are you sure he appears once a season? In 2012 won Suisse, managed to finish top 20 in le Tour after losing a hell lot of time on stage 17 setting it up for Valverde when he was 10th overall, and still finished it in front of his team captain (overall). Finished top 15 in the Olympics and same in the WC (taking in account the poor team Portugal had). Before that, finished top3 in Quebeq and was second in Plouay beat only by Eddy Boss.
Now you made me seem like an idiot fanboy talking.
Parrulo said:Oh you just did not!!!!
Exactly when was he talked up like a god? Maybe that status should be reserved to Thibaut "according to jason mercier will win every mountain stage he participates but never does" Pinot?
Was saying he was one of the favourites to win PN over hyping him? Was saying he could do a good result at LBL over hyping him? Was saying he could contend for the win at Romandie, if not for froome, over hyping him? Was saying he was one of the favourites for this years TdS over hyping him?
Because that was the hype he got this season, and guess what, he mostly delivered. He is so hyped that i, and some other unbearable hypers, expected him to lose time yesterday because the mountain was too hard for him. . . jesus the hype is so unbearable it almost burns. And when has he been talked up for GT's and stuff like that?
Exactly.
Parrulo said:He wasn't even close to being 10th overall before stage 17 at the tour last year.
And don't insult other members.
BigMac said:My bad on the Tour part, yet he was claerly active during the race.
Can you quote my insult to any member please? I didn't managed to find it.
theyoungest said:Don't forget Tejay. He needs to make up little more than a minute on Frank. He'll do that on the flat part alone. Probably on Costa and Mollema as well.
