well spotted, i was just about to post it

32 minutes or under if the flat part wasn't on the route. guys like rui costa went full throttle there too, more than likely, above 6 w/kg for the whole ride
rui costa = great quality

faster by a second than jeanneson i guess?

Jeannesson was quicker than Costa, 33:02'09 compared to 33:02'20

So close again for Kangert. Whole week he said that he feels tired. The more impressive todays result and 6th position in GC is. After national championships he deserves little vocation. And then soon to Vuelta :)

Movistar is the strongest team for the Tour:

Valverde, Rui Costa, Quintana and Amador will be very, very strong, more than Kosta and Kiriyenka.

True, they don't have an answer to Froome though.

Top 5 possible for Costa?

Impressive Costa. I was wrong, in spite of Van Garderen wasnt at his level i have to admit it.

No you're right, that's TJ at his normal level ;)

Just in case you needed to know.

well, its still pretty meaningless when trying to asses his chances or performance level at the tour.

Still 50/50% imo.

Massive trough - high peak wrt to Andy. Normal operation so far.

You're sure Jeannesson wasn't 33'03?

yep, the time for the flat part on matsport is rounded to 20'47 although it was 20'47"91.

you can see it in the official results:

Intermediate 1 -> Intermediate 2 -> Finish

Edit: the rounding-error has a different origin, it's due to it's relation to van Garderen's time, but anyway, you get the point. But I don't know if he changed bikes before the climb, his time on the flat part was so poor he might have done it on a road bike.

Costa clearly the best, fully deserved win. Mollema second stongest in the race = second place overall, that makes sense too.
Kreuziger nothing special, decent performance. But on the flat his TT was terrible, he looked like Bert Grabsch Mk.II pushing that huge gear and waving on TT bike not at all fluent. On the climb he did ok, better than hyped Pinot for example. His form should peak for his domestic role at TdF, looks good.
There are some real Kreuziger haters on this forum, as this page http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=20863&page=29 shows. I don't get it. Don't think there were some people telling he's massive threat in this TT, there were some considering he could do well at the best.

Kangert = Fungert

And the winner:
