Him winning an uphill sprint against and inform Slagter is impressive though.

Slagter is Superman now? Hushovd should always win a slightly uphill sprint against Slagter. This was pretty close, actually.

Hushovd was ill all year last year. He was probably worse off than Andy Schleck, so it is kinda impressive if you ask me

Has he ever been good in Flandern? do no think so, he is allways going for PR

He hasn't. I always thought Ronde was too tough for him and now it's even more tougher, but if he has improved his climbing he might be in the fray.

Slightly uphill? The last 700 metres were 5% right?

No, a crash is always a very bad mental setback opposed to illness, so it's much harder to return to a good level. A virus or disease isn't the rider's fault in most cases. The crash and his injured bones however made Schleck wonder if he still had the skill to compete. He's still searching for confidence to ride in the peloton, sad but true.

Hushovd at least knew at a certain time last year the virus had disappeared from his blood, allowing him to build his form for 2013. Schleck still had the mental and physical relapses. Hoogerland will probably be suffering the same consequences from his training crash.
