Sounds like a really impressive win for Sagan, probably a definite favourite for Milan-San Remo now, if he wasn't already anyway, eh?

Seriously you don't have to like me but please don't compare me to those idiots.

The worst thing is that he can win it however he wants.

Attack on the poggio, attack in the descent or win the sprint. All valid options.

If I were 23 and a talented rider i would kill myself knowing i've to ride with this guy :(

well, I am not sure if the finish wasn't moved since last year, but if not, considering quite a distance after end of the poggio descent, I don't think attacking in the ascen or descent would be good for sagan, if he's in the attack alone. If Cancellara would be "stupid" enough to catch him and go with him, then it would be good tactics from sagan, he might even not wheelsuck cancellara as I think he would do him easily in the finish.

However, in my opinion, the best tactics from him would be just to attack on the ascent, and if somebody will join him, then go, if not, then just sit. If this is not successful, then try attacking on the descent to tear the peloton appart, but if this is not the cas, then sit again on the flat and hit it in the sprint. To his advantage also is, that if by any reason he's able to catch some attack on the poggio ascent, than he will be probably able to catch it on the descent. Having said that, if he plays the conlusion of MSR wisely, there's not a way he could lost.

I think Sagan can win in Tour of Flanders too. He can respond an Boonen/Cancellara attack and beat them in a sprint or winning a bigger group spint at the end. For me he is the favourite in both this races.

Will he compete in any Ardennes Classics?

His schedule is Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-San Remo, Ronde Van Vlaanderen, Gent-Wevelgem and Amstel Gold Race.

I would have liked to see him in Strade Bianche and Giro del Lazio but other than that I think his schedule is very good, his primary focus being MSR and RVV.

Sagan might have to be careful not to show his from too much before the classics for fear of being marked like cancellara has been. Having said that, if he rides like yesterday is anyone stopping him anyway?

OK, tv has just shown the Wiggins incident in Stage 1. He just gave up. Commissaires had no choice but to not give him his lost time back.

Traksel in the break yet again.
He was hired to teach the Asians on Champion System the workings of the European peloton. How is he going to teach them anything if he keeps on going in the break? ;)

Tour Stage 3? ;)
The arrogance he showed on that stage was bound to backfire some time. I'm not sure if doing it in the Tour of Oman really bothers him though.

Reminds me of Hinault 'helping' Lemond by constantly attacking him "to toughen him up". ;)

Good morning cycling fans.

Top 10 today? For me, they might as well not have turned up. It's a Sagan gift stage. But I hope Gianni Meersman goes well. His type of finish.

1. Peter Sagan
2. Gianni Meersman
3. Tony Gallopin
4. Matt Goss
5. Nacer Bouhanni
6. Daryll Impey
7. Arnold Jeanesson
8. Philip Gilbert
9. Peter Velits
10. Alberto Contador

Looked good until I saw that :D

How do you think Alberto will come 10th? Will there be gaps?

Last year's result on the same finish indeed suggests there will be (small) gaps.

I read somewhere (don't know if on this forum, twitter or somewhere else) that the final 20 km are different and less hilly, but I don't know if that will make a huge difference

Who knows, last year Baden Cooke got second.

Yeh and Goss was 15 minutes back :p Would be a miraculous turnaround from getting dropped on the first climb yesterday.
