I go Ballan or Hoste, Devolder as a roughy.

Pozzovivo has a decent shot I think, Colnago was never allowed to ride the cobbled classic. Now Pozzovivo is with AG2R he will probably be their leader I expect him to go full out especially in Roubaix.

Ye im serious, if he can get to the velodrome with the first riders he has a very good shot in the sprint. He is very fast!

He would likely need the velodrome resituated to the top of a mountain with 24% average gradient.

Be delighted if he does win though

I can't say who I've picked til the end of the month, sorry. I run a service which is dependent on secrecy so that my new members get the market prices for the selections. but it'll be on my own site for free at the end of this month.

Sagan says he attacked with 400 m to go and went solo the last 300 meters to the line.

Ye Gallopin says about the same thing.

Tony Gallopin: “We were full gas once the break was caught. Every team wanted a place in the front. At just the right moment our team moved me into the perfect position to start the climb. Fabian pulled on the climb with Sagan in the wheel and me behind him. When Sagan went I went with him. Then when he went again at 200 meters I just couldn’t go with him. I could see that behind me there was a gap so I continued to give it everything. (Greg) Van Avermaet pulled around me at the end and took second place. There isn’t much you can do against Sagan on a finish like this.”

Froome only 9s back with Evans (Nibali 8s), not so bad.

Was that him in the background of the victory picture upthread ?
Its slightly out of focus, and my eyes aren't the best.

I love gambling on cycling, and frequently use the expertise on this forum to sharpen my opinion...and indeed formulate it. :)

But can we not move all these people with "tips" for races, and self congratulatory posts afterwards to a separate thread or sub-forum.

Anybody with a brain can tell you that there are big mistakes made by the odds compilers in giving odds for cycling races. But it is nearly impossible to get on for more than a few quid for the obvious mistakes.

Good one, because to be honest I couldn't give a **** about on who people are betting and what the odds are. Let's keep the race thread about the race itself.

He will ride a stage race before Paris-Nice normally. And he's still not sure whether he'll start in the Belgian openingsweekend.

Which one? There's only the tour of Langkawi (21/02 - 02/03) and the ruta del sol (17/02 - 20/02). Former ends the day before P-N, the latter starts the day after Oman, so both seem rather unlikely. He can race driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen though, and T-A instead of P-N.

Sagan: “The final ascent is a hard climb. I will wait for attacks from the GC riders, both for the stage win and overall leadership. I know it will be hard to keep the jersey, but above all, it will be a useful test to understand my resistance on these climbs"

Sounds like he'll try to hang on at least.

Yeah, good luck with hanging with Contador...
