Froome looked like he was suffering at that youtube viedo. how the hell did he mange to come back and distance Nibbles and AC? that man is a real fighter

like in the Vuelta 2012 where he was behind Valverde, Contador and Purito, came back at Purito and Valverde and attacked at once again

But all of them except Nibali are preparing for the Tour. So if Froome managed to put 20" into Alberto today I don't see how that's going to be the other way around in July.

The Tour is a long way away,Froome will have an incredible Sky team behind him at the Tour, probably stronger than Saxo IMO, and he's such a world class all-rounder but winning the Tour takes all the ingredients like mental fortitude, tactical ability of DS/rider,peak of physical condition,GT experience etc,Froome may lack in some of those attributes.

Alberto has been there, seen it,done it and got the t-shirt until Froome (who i quite like btw) wins something more prestigious than the Anatomic Jock Race i remain unconvinced.Could be an eternal GT podium guy but never wins a biggie, wont join the Froome bandwagon until he wins a GT.Then i'll bow to the new King.:)

How hard are the hills tomorrow? Kittel could pass them or no chance?

I think it's going to be the favourites again but Sagan hanging in there and winning with ease.

I just don't understand why everyone's saying "it's February ffs" and things like that, yes Alberto will improve but so will Froome. So in the end not much will chance. And I'm trying to have a normal discussion but then people start with the "stop being hysterical" "do we have to endure this for 5 months" crap. Just stop treating me like I'm mentally ***.

You guys are so gullible. Can't wait for Lutsenko to blow this puny Froome guy of the freaking rode :p

Lol that would be nice, a surprise winner, it would at least be better than a Froome win.

Lutsenko is gonna own the cycling world by the end of the year.

Somebody mentioned a youtube video? Is there footage of the stage?

It's one day on one climb. You remember jaca or java last year in the vuelta?

Don't base yourself on one stage. This is Contador. Have some more respect for this guy. And you're a fan...

It's shameful that fans like you exist. It really is. Or you go crazy when he wins or you say he isn't going to do anything anymore when he lose 1 freaking mountain stage

You base yourself on one stage in february to come to the conclusion the race in july is decided.

I'm not calling you *** but you're throwing a lot of bait.

get over it. If Contador had won the stage with say 20 sec margin you would have been the first to say that it is only february, he already crushes everyone being off form and if off form contador crushes everyone, others have zero chance in the Tour etc etc etc...Quite marginal approach to the things, no?

Contador deserves way more credit than Froome. Winning 7 or 5 GT's gives you that right.

Besides it's obvious Contador blew himself and went too early, watch the clips.

Normally Contador would be better now but the thing is in february he never really had much competition.

He usually rides algarve. I doubt many big names were there.

The top 5 of this stage can be the top 5 of the tour.

I already said btw that I'll start worrying when Froome drops him T-A, so yeah.

But i won't lie, i was hoping for more. I think that's normal.
