Yes and it proves the point for next year at the TDF, Nibali has no hope of living with Froome and Quintana. Great attack today yet did not yield much time, dont no about you but the attack looked like Froome he had to break in the corner lol, i thught it would yield more time to the cowards behind? -Basso and Pinot of course.
It is practically impossible to extrapolate results like that. No way. There are many variables that plays behind the scenes. That includes riders exhausted for being at the end of a season. Especially those coming from the Tour de France. Nibali in Giro form might be faster than this anyway. If history has taught us something is that results from one GT cannot be translated into other one just like that. Too many examples to show.

papyyyy horner!!! yeay!

awesome win, what a great attack

in my opinion i still believe both purito and valverde will crack at one point in this vuelta. so there is hope for basso to get on the podium. nobody can challenge horner, he will drop them again in the pyrenees.
great racing, chapeau!

So glad about Uran, enjoy it next year Uran. You will realise how good Sky have been to you. You cant beat Froome thats why your leaving and you have more people to beat than Froome next year.
I think Uran has earned a team leader role. At Sky he was never going to get a dedicated role with all the talent they have. He may not be a top 3 rider but I would consider him a top 10 talent. There aren't too many guys available at this age so it's a good signing for OPQS. Ok not going to win the Tour next year but they seem to be building the team around him already with the signing of Acevedo.

Don't see what's wrong with him being ambitious.

Hahahaha, Nibali couldn't get back a single second from Horner, and Horner didn't need to sit on the saddle more than 5 nanoseconds during the whole climb according to the most conservative calculations.

Official website producing some very wacky results. Don't believe them. e.g Moreno docked points, Rodriguez dead-heating with Rodriguez on the second KOM, stage times put in overall slot, etc.

What do you guys think about my little climb?

Remember they only climbed half of it.
Spanish TV gave two really good picturve about this climb, one of them was the curves of the road being taking from the helicopter and some images from Sierra Nevada to Veleta.

Only one word that can describe that climb, tortures.

Strange riding by Nibs today, thought he wasn't here to win the Vuelta...racing like in the Giro but finding some tougher opponents! Seems to confirm that he wasn't really that much stronger at the Giro than at the 2012 TDF.

What makes you think he is in top shape? He has been saying all along that he will only hit top shape for the third week in the order to keep it till the worlds.

Don't even bother with some peoples logic at this forum. To some people here Froomes performance in Utah means he will not contest for the tour victory next year :p

It was absolutely brutal, as bad as Lagos or Cuitu Negru last year. Combined with that heat, I was reminded of Lapize's 'Vous êtes des assassins!' quote.

Lol, you must be trolling.

As a reminder, this is the complete pass of Collado de las Sabinas, with the final couple of kms until Sierra Nevada. Today's stage finished at El Dornajo.

BUT WAIT, there's more. One could go on climbing towards the astronomical observatory IRAM.
