Not like there's any good reason for it not to be.

I honestly wonder. Just when did the standard TT became a pan-flat course?

A flat tt is preferable to a hilly one because it gives riders who are slightly weaker up climbs but stronger on tts, the chance to get back time, thus 1 making gts more all round and 2 forcing the tiny climbers to attack more to get back the time thus making the whole race interesting.

Could be a good parcours for cataldo and kiryienka if they are given license to go for it and aren't as knackered as they seem. Think Martin will win by 20 secs

Well that giro tt was technical first half which is why Nibali did so well.

He has improved his tt a lot of course and that was also a reason why he did so well there but another way to look at it is that he was on the form of his life, with a tt that suited him really well and still only came 4th so with a less suited tt and not being in the form of his life, he shouldn't be quite so good tomorrow.

Of course but he should start as a favorite compared to GC contenders, (Horner, Valverde, Purito, Roche, Basso). We will have to see though.

J Rod to surprise with fifth to 10th on day, Martin to win, Cancellara might not even come 2nd, Nibali jersey, Horner to 2nd 3rd or 4th.

(At least one of them has to be right, no?)

everythign here will be wrong except probably martin

How is Cancellara suddenly top favourite for the stage? He hasn't been focusing on the tt's for a long while, and even in the spring when he had good shape he didn't do fantastic. I think he will post a good time, but top favourite? I don't think so.

5. Arndt 21 + 1:32
6. Howard 176 + 1:47
7. Stamsnijder 29 + 2:22
8. Westra 219 + 2:24

This can't be correct?

Westra was in 1st position in 17:54 or something when I checked, then he was in 8th, 20 minutes back.

Mechanical is the only thing I can think of, but that won't affect him that much.
