Yes, an ambitious effort to protect 5th place

It would of course be much more ambitious if they were to sit in the peloton and wait for a spring like everyone else.

It's a move to get their GC man into the top 5. The same GC man who attacked on the last two stages. If only every team with a rider in the top 10 of a GT behaved like this.

Saxo will need over a minute on the Pozzovivo group for Roche to move up.

Looks like Samu made the front group as well.

Anyone seen Konig yet?

This. Absolutely great to see some teams take things in their own hands instead of waiting for things to happen.

Roche is like 5sec behind Pozzo in GC, not a minute

This is a good stage because of the move. Saxo are busting their balls to get their man into the Top 5.

Fair play to them.

Ah, your right, was looking at the wrong 2 times. So Roche already has moved up a place.

This might get interesting, since there are a few up and downs and narrow roads in the last 15kms. Even some GC attack could take place.

Why don't Lampre ride with Saxo? There aren't a lot of sprinters in the first group.

It's not like it's going come back now.

Better to wait and be ready for sprint.

If Pozzos group catches the 2nd group, they might form a group Big enough to catch the front group

EBH, Richeze, Bole, any other sprinters in the front group?

Morkov, but he's been doing work for Roche.

Impossible basically.

Crosswinds don't work like that.

If big enough gap develops - it's over. The gap it's very unlikely to decrease after that. It will stay at that gap or increase.
