Libertine Seguros said:False - much like the similar Rifugio Gardeccia (also about 6km and 10%) Peña Cabarga was not a brand new summit but a long-forgotten one when it was included in the 2010 Vuelta.

For the record, the other winner on the climb is Ángel López del Álamo, who won from the break. It was the biggest achievement of his career by far.

That and the fact that Jafferau and Peña Cabarga are very similar.

Probably the only one with the strength to do it is Uran.gospina said:<Colombian biased>
Winner will be from a breakaway.
Uran said he was going for it, Betancur/Anacona/Sarmiento said they were hunting stages. Henao also wants to do something. Only two stages left.
One of them will win

Is there a profile for the cat 2 climb, alto del caracoal? The summit of that climb is just 40 km from the finish, and most of those km are downhill. Can this be used as a launchpad for a long range attack?
I am hoping to see a win for a gutsy attack from someone.
My prediction: GC guys will come together, or with at most 10-20 sec diff. Only guys who could change that are jrod and roche in the top-5. Konig to overtake pinot or pozzo or both in GC.
