Stybar? 11km at 6% with an 8% finish...Stybar? I'd say stranger things have happened, but I'm not sure they have. I like him, so I'd be happy to be surprised.

Could be a Stijn Devolder repeat ;)

Alex Rasmussen (118), Francisco Javier Aramendia (62) and Gregory Henderson (144) are already ahead by 2.02 over the peloton.

Odd that more riders haven't joined the party:confused:

my opinion:
no JRO
no Valverde

it'll be a fight between Ulissi,Henao and may be Stybar..
my feeling is that JRO and Valverde will pay the tour's labours

Didnt think about it but Ulissi is a very good call indeed. Not sure about his form though.

Really surprised and disappointed by how weak and small this break is. Perhaps a second group will go away on the cat 3 (Alto de San Cosme) coming up in the next 20km? Here's hoping.

Well, a break that everyone is happy with is invariably going to be weak. You can almost guarantee it wasn't the only move this morning.

Oh dear, the prefects have been let out of the common room.

So sorry. Who do I report to for detention? :(

Well, it's early in the race, it hasn't settled yet, and there are many riders who might get a stage win today. For some people, the bonus seconds are important in the GC too, like Purito. They're not going to let a strong break go with even a slight chance of holding on to the finish.

is that a question?

Yes. You can tell because there's a question mark at the end of his sentence. He's asking if you understand much about cycling.

Hope that helps.

(While there are things like rhetorical questions, lets not confuse you)

Judging by the text commentary, it was. Henderson went on the flag.

Everyone knew that today's break would not be given any chance, so no-one else really fancied contesting membership of it. Aramendia will go with any move in the early km, Rasmussen and Henderson might have thought the green jersey points were worth it.

Just got back from watching the Vuelta pass.

Pretty nice crowd where i was :)

Lucky you. Anyway, how come you are not on the climb? I drove 1700 k to be on a last climb in a GT. You are some 40 k as I see.
