thats what we all expect. somehow the current bunch of riders seem to be lacking in this sort of thing. Too many instances of "crash happened after we had started the move" or "we had to work otherwise we lose our spot" or other such things are around.

Makes sense, thanks.

Edit: re feeds. Sportlemon one seems to be the best on Steephill. I can't connect to the others or they have more aggressive ads.

It would definitely be nice to see someone target it specifically otherwise, with the amount of summit finishes, I can see it going to a GC contender.

i thought feeds start only after an hour.

Tour is a TTers GT. an average climber + a very good TTer can win TdF(do i need to give example here?). Tell me whether anyone has won vuelta using TT skills

with @63 km left, the break has only 6:25 lead.

if we take about a min for every 10kms, then i think the break is doomed.

anything in the actual route to help the break?

which year? details please

i wasn't watching vuelta when that happened

It shows... 1999. After that, Casero (2001) and Menchov ([2005], 2007) both won the Vuelta cementing their victories on their TT abilities. Others, while not pure TTers, would probably not have won were it not for their TT prowess.

It's not a crime to know little about something, but it's irresponsible to talk as if you knew.

Quoted the bold part for truth.

I am sorry if my earlier comment appeared as if i know. I think i already marked that i have watched only one vuelta. probably i should have put in a fresh line my query regarding TTers winning hte vuelta.

Thank you for the info. i will look up the history

What'z up folks- It appears the break away will make it today- Nice!!!

My heart goes for Anacona- but De Walle could be the man to beat today...

i disagree. i think the peloton will catch them in the final 10 km.

though i hope that anacona gets the stage.

head says no chance for break.

heart goes with anacona

well- depends who's interested in chasing down the breakaway- I'm certain Nibs & Astana are happy to let the Peloton decide that among themselves...

astana is anyways not chasing. they don't even seem to have anyone in the front 10-15 places.

It seems touch and go at the moment for the break. I always use the 60-70 seconds advantage per 10km to go as a yardstick on a flat stage but it depends on the strength on the break. A weak break could lose nearly 2 minutes in 10km's.
