It's about hardness of a descent. If it's straight, even Nibali or Samu won't drop a very average downhiller Froome.Parrulo said:Froome isn't making the descent, Spilak is and he is a pretty good descender himself.
Also Nibali looks a bit cooked. Costa could have gone to the front on a couple turns already, but Costa and pulling at the front are 2 things that don't mix.
