Pantani did 7.2 w/kg in 1999

Can anybody come close

flat, easy stage and the greatest climber ever(to me). so no:p

depends on how they will race over the two quite hard climbs before oropa. maybe rigo will go 6.6 or something like that. i hope for a showdown from aru and ivan basso

I have a dilemma. Haven't slept yet and it's 11am. Don't wanna miss this. Having a 'nap' is risky at this point, but so is staying up... This seems like a disproportionately major decision right now.

Is there any danger the Stelvio stage will be edited like last years stages? I hope not.
There's always a danger. The forecasts for Tuesday aren't really promising... But I reckon this time they'll edit it only if absolutely necessary. They will race. It'll be up to the riders to neutralize the stage.

It'd be comical to cancel the same stage two years in a row

Surely whoever is in charge would get the boot? Imaging the uproar if Zomegnan was responsible for that.

Nothing's gonna happen among the GC contenders untill the last climb and probably not untill 5 km's to go when Majka will make his Van Den Broeck impression so go ahead and take a nap.

Economically it would be a serious damage.
But as I said, in case of light snow (which is likely) they'll still race it. The problem will be the descent. But the passes are clear afaik.

I see that the current forecast has improved slightly, which little or no Stelvio snow on Tuesday afternoon.
Not so great for the Gavia though, with moderate (3cm) afternoon snowfall predicted.
