Its Dumont and he is way down in GC.
Best placed rider in GC is somewhere around +30 minutes.

There's always a danger. The forecasts for Tuesday aren't really promising... But I reckon this time they'll edit it only if absolutely necessary. They will race. It'll be up to the riders to neutralize the stage. :

I would love to see Quintana winning and showing that he is the best climber in cycling since Pantani but he might wait a little more and shock everyone in one of the last stages making the likes of Cadel or Pozzo looking like untalented juniors. If that won't happen i will be pleased by Poels staying with the strongest!

Break is working very well together so far,pretty unsual with big breaks.
Looking forward to Alpe Noveis,should be a good climb,and it will be interesting how riders from the break will divide.

I think it will happen,it depend who will attack.Gc riders or their domestique,stage - point hunters etc.

Yup thats what I am hoping for. Basically someone interested / dangerous should attack. Then the GC guys will be scrambling behind

I'm hoping someone has the guts to launch a long range attack. I really don't like the attitude of "waiting for better opportunities". We never know if there will be better opportunities (climbs may be cancelled, stages shortened etc.). Also, when Mont Ventoux was the penultimate stage in the 2009 Tour, nothing happened at all because of the wind.

You'd be surprised how often at the Giro everyone goes insane, then they slow down for the last hour and most people say 'well, that was boring' because they only saw the final climb

Reminds me of the 2008 Giro when Contador was dropped over 100ks from the finish, he was ripe for the killing, and everyone gave him the Giro by slowing down and letting him recover for the finish

IIRC, he was dropped briefly at Giau, about 55-60 km to go
