I thought the ascent was great, but this descent is just awesome :) Please use this climb closer to the finish some time in the future.

Absolutely agree. Having Bielmonte as a MTF would make for an interesting combo.

Meh, that's simply because in football faking an injury can be advantageous, while in cycling it's not (unless you're Andy). Nothing to do with toughness or integrity.

It's the high mountains, he can't cope. And this one is too hard to hang on to a group of 25 and sprint for the win.

I've seen plenty of hill climbers end up as mountain riders at the Giro, a few of them for Lampre.

Yet football players still film a *lot* more than handball players.

^^ This. If football dropped it's pseudo fair play crap and actually started enforcing heavy penalties on divers and simulators (both during and after games) than those situations would stop.

Also if a guy that caused a crash would be sent out of the race by the organizers you can bet there would be a lot of finger pointing in cycling.

It's all about the game and how you play it

So, let's start dreaming.

Roche in the break looking steady. Majka near the front of the GC group looking comfortable with Rogers.

Bridge coming up later?

Probably not very likely at all, but would be great to see.

Can Santaromita save Orica's Giro?

if anyone in the break can do it, its either him or cataldo.

but i think the peloton will catch them in the middle of the final climb.

The way they are shedding riders, they might have to rename it to Orica-Santaromita before the end - assuming he doesn't step off when the race gets close to his home.

Roche did a bridge like that in the Vuelta last year. Might see it again

You folks are missing the fact that its a beautifully clever juxtaposition, and also a nice promo for pro cycling-- given the gazillion people who saw this on twitter and Facebook yesterday.

Looking very likely break winner now. Gap going out again.

i had to cross check the distance left. i thought it was 80 k left instead of 50k left.

with 8'15", i think the GC riders will ride their own race. they dont care who is winning.

Roche will now have to choose between pulling back for majka or going for the win.

Steeper section almost over and the break away is still complete. Nice walk in the park.

Edit: Hondo and Frapporti dropped now
