Just seen on twitter that there's no Richie Porte included in the provisional start list. Can probably rule him out of the Giro then. Wiggins is included which is a bit strange just nine days after Roubaix.
Another Giro shot for Wiggins?

Could be the laugh of the year.

I can see it now...

"This May, after a crashes, bike throws, and setbacks resulting in a DNF in 2013, Wiggo returns to the Giro. Can he conquer the Italian mountains, descents, and rain to claim the Maglia Rosa?"

Spoiler alert: no.

:D

Wiggins has a pretty good chance of taking this, at least podium. The TTT squad is pretty good, with Wiggins himself, Cataldo, and Siutsou
No way. Stage 1 and 2 suit him but Wigans would suffer on 3 and 4 - especially 3. Wigans is best on long, mostly flat stages with 1 or 2 longer, steady climbs. This is too technical for him IMO

The race was originally in Eurosport's schedule to be shown live.
Now, there is no sign of any coverage on their site.
The slot for stage 1 being currently filled by a re-run of Amstel.
I can't find any information from Rai, either.
Last year, it was in doubt fairly late on, but an agreement was reached.
This year, it could well be a case of no such luck.:(

Do any of our Italian based posters have any info?

it looks like there will be no live coverage, only highlights on Rai.:mad:

What is this?! The best italian stage race after the Giro (and Tirreno some years) doesn't get live coverage? This is just a disgrace. I wouldn't be surprised to see this race go away in the next few years....

Rai site's tv guide now just says ciclismo 18-00cet (1 hour) for Rai Sport 2 on the 22nd April.
Doesn't even say if it's Trentino.

They often do that; they might update later on.

There seems to be very few riders targeting this with any discernable form,Pozzo should go well, maybe Evans, possibly one or more of the Sky crew but after that it becomes difficult to see the make up of top 10 on GC at the end of the race.

I think Aru and Rosa will be at a good level already.
