The thing is, a few riders down in a road stage means they can still get back onto the peloton in the best of worlds. If half your team in the TTT crashes, you have to wait for everyone and EVERYONE in the team loses tons of time because time is being taken on the 5th man.

Yes, I agree. It definitely can have more effect on the race (and crashes are more likely in TTT then ITT). My point was crashes can happen anywhere.

In hindsight - this crash in the TTT has finished the Giro for the entire Garmin team. I understand crashes happen in the peleton as well but chances of so many team mates going down simultaneously is surely lesser. Damn the TTT

Pretty sure you can due to the rules. Can't do same other members, but nothing against riders.

I agree btw, tasteless and disgusting, but from what i remeber in rules, you can say what you want about riders.
