Seems like Bardiani and Giant knew what they were doing. 2nd and 3rd in the sprint. CN forum knows better though.

Anybody chasing a rider on the attack is stupid for most users.

Evans doing another aussie a favor in return for a favor when required in the third week

Standard deal

For what reason should Ewans chase him down for? He have no reason whatsoever to do so.

Interesting stage today and finally a Saxo rider not named Contador gets a big win.

Moreno will have to be operating at 80% to be dropped by Roche on this climb, but we shall soon see.

Butterh, you got it right. Moreno dropped by just about everybody including Preidler. Lol.

You don't get it. The BMC guys went to the front to roll through without pedalling, which killed the chase. It's what anyone does to help a break.

If it wasn't a deal they'd have stayed out of it while Bardiani and Giant were drilling on the front

It wasn't about him chasing Mick down, just disrupting the chase that the others were doing. Keeping Rogers on side for week 3 ;)

Moreno is clearly not in good form. Could see that by the way he blew up completely when he attacked at the finish of stage 8

I'm sorry. i dont get the aussie helping aussie logic at all.

in week three, rogers will be riding for majka. he might even ride hard enough to throw evans out of top-3.

Well that was by far the most boring stage so far.

Why bust a gut with the ITT coming up tomorrow. BMC were probably concerned with not conceding bonus seconds to GC contenders, and wouldn't care who got the stage if it did not disadvantage them.

Others could have come past them and taken over the chase when/if BMC slowed things down but did not, or could not.

I don't see any gifts there. Or is Evans/BMC dumb enough to believe that Rogers will help them while Majka is riding for GC? Saxo will be at the front in some places but only to protect their interests, not BMC's.
BMC simply didn't want to chase and give the stage to some random wheelsucker and so they just rode at the front to avoid crashes.

Solo victories on medium difficult stages is the most boring it gets. Especially when you can see 15km before the finish that the field won't catch him.

Brambilla is really strong in this Giro. Hadn't done much before this race since joining OPQS.
