Nice stage, lots of possibilities even though the time trial is tomorrow.

Probably the break wins it ... I'll go with Maxim Belkov who was very kind to me financially last year when he got his stage win last year.

What's the forecast like? Is there any chance of decent winds along the coast?

Looks like a good stage this one. Solid climb and a good down hill for someone to have a go if they are feeling brave.

Roche in the break today? I think so, or even a EBH could have a go, Bak and Adam are the obvious choices, but with Roche and EBH in the break it will be a tough one. My money is on EBH today.
And it will definitely be a breakaway who takes it today, important day Thursday, or maybe Hugo will make a bet about that? ;)

this stage will probably be ridden very hard right from the start, that + irregular speed has never been one of Roche's specialities. He might try, but I'd be surprised to see him getting into the final breakaway

I'd like to see a very fast first hour with lots of riders trying to escape, but noone succeeding. Then I'd like a very big group (20+ riders) to escape at the first cat. 2 climb (13.5 km @ 4.4% according to Climbbybike).

But not very realistic, I'm afraid.

Matthews has abandoned? He had a nasty fall before the rest day and his right a**e cheek looked torn to bits.

I tend to agree. A Team Colombia rider FTW.

I predicted Weening or Rubiano to win stage 9.

This time I'm going to predict Rubiano or Pantano to win. If it's Rubiano it'll be from the proper breakaway, if it's Panatno it'll be from a late attack.

Rubiano is a DNS

Was it the other Rubiano who joined Beppu, Godoy, Preidler and Marangoni in a breakaway attempt?

According to this live-ticker Preidler is DNS as well:

We already brought you the news that Michael Matthews didn't start today. Two other DNSs are Georg Preidler (Giant-Shimano) and Miguel Angel Rubiano (Colombia)
