does anyone in Neri-Sottoli have an actual chance of winning this?

Based on how Rabottini rode yesterday: hell no.

Well if he's on his best form, i would say hell no too.

Scinto is mad that they missed the break and he's now punishing them Savio style.

I hate it when that happens, it's completely pointless, the break gets reeled in after 5kms of climbing and than we can watch another 10km of the favourites watching each other and enjoying the landscape

Rabottini is not going to be able to compete for the victory even if he goes early on the climb.

God, whenever Evans has a chance at a GT, the ubertrolls come out in full force.

So Evans, who's friends with dopers, ridden with dopers, ridden for doped teams, worked with doped doctors, praised dopers and never once spoke out against them, even continuted to praise Lance after Lance got stripped wheelsucks as some political protest against doping?

I'm sorry to our intelligent Australian posters, but some may, after reading this forum, come out with a unfairly negative view of the overall intelligence of the Australian population due to some of the **** that get's spewed here in that country's name.

Reminds me of 2010

If any person is 'ubertrolling', it is you. You are essentially accusing Evans of doping without the slightest bit of evidence.

cyclists can be clean even whilst riding on teams with doped riders. Evidence for this: when teams throw cyclists out when they are caught doping.

'so one meeting with ferrari means 'working with doped doctors'
furthermore, he doesn't know exactly who dopes in the peloton, so of course he has praised dopers (unknowingly) before.
and it is not in his personality to cause controversy by accusing certain people of doping. evans isn't that outgoing.

Finally, you are completely twisting my words. I never said that wheelsucking was a 'political protest against doping'. I believe Evans is clean. I see no problem with this viewpoint. He has the highest (or second highest?) VO2 max of an australian athlete at the AIS. In fact, it is higher than armstrong's, and evans couldn't even follow him! The point is, the only way he could keep up with dopers (with less physical capabilities) is to wheelsuck. I don't see how this argument is, 'ubertrolling'. If you think that 'ubertrolling' is 'thinking that Evans is clean', then you are the one who is ubertrolling.

They should've put wind tunnels on the side of the road to give us crosswinds to make this stage less boring

Just tuned in. 1km to the climb. Perfect :D

Did anything happen that I should know? Crashes, injuries?

not really as far as i know, escape and gap being closed by Neri, to quate cyclingnews brilliance: 'The gap is down to 3'24 and it's dropping, just like Scinto's popularity in the break.'

Apologies, I was not trying to bring doping into it. the hitch was the one who accused evans of doping.
All I will say is this. (is this within the realms of this subsection of the forum? if not, delete) I believe evans is clean. His VO2 max is strong evidence for that. his wheelsucking was not a political protest, but rather, he was at the limits of his physical capabilities when other people have been 'boosted artificially'. therefore the only thing he could do to follow dopers was to wheelsuck. i don't see a problem with that.
agreed, this thread needs more wonderlance.
