That was just fantastic! I knew Aru would peak like an angel, but after this stage he looks to have peaked like a god

Quintana is still not at his best. Not being able to drop Rolland and Duarte proves this. He'll be at about 90% in the last week, which is enough to pull back 2:40 from Uran. 1 minute in the MTT+1 minute on the Zoncolan, which leaves 40" for Tuesday. I don't think there'll be gaps bigger than 15" on stage 18, as everybody will be conserving energy for MTT+Zonclolan.

Quintana's problem may not be Uran though. If Aru will look like this on all the other stages, I guess we're looking at the winner of the Giro.

Good stage for Uran all in all, gaining time on Evans and Majka. He also saw that Pozzo was not looking good, so he decided to attack just in case Dr. was just having a bad day.

Rolland was awesome, he'll probably finish 5-7 in GC. Duarte was very good too. Kelderman will fade in the last week. Majka was not bad again, but he'll probably end up with 4th overall. Hesjedal will get his top 10 finish too.

All in all, this stage showed us who'll be the 3 main protagonists of the 4 stages which will decide the winner. Aru and Nairito will be on the attack, while Uran will ride tempo and try to limit the losses.

Are you sportzchick in disguise?!!!!

Seriously, your comment is so similar to some of the ones I linked from the 2010 Giro

lol. Do tell:D

:):)

No, but wish I had met those two. They seem like two honest and impartial posters. Just like me indeed.

No, because he is 37 and in the top few of every gt he races in. Who was the last person to be 2nd in a gt with 5 stages remaining at 37 or above years???

:D

Like I said, Evans makes people go dumb.

No, because he is 37 and in the top few of every gt he races in
He wasn't at the top of the last gt he raced

Who was the last person to be 2nd in a gt with 5 stages remaining at 37 or above years???
The last winner of the last gt.

Any other questions?

One of those two got in trouble for telling someone they were like Hitler when they said they didn't want Evans to win.

Didn't you say a few days ago something about wanting to have Hitler in your sig?

You know what they call it when beings turn out strikingly similar despite coming from isolated habitats like Europe and Australia? - Convergent evolution.

Hitch Bitterness is not a good trait how is waterboy Samu doing?. HAHA. Evans has got Sammy the golden shoe wearer working for him. Horner won the Vuelta as i said he smashed the record by years so that is not what usually happens. So where are these 37 year old guys doing good GT results?. Only guys i can think of 34 plus are Valverde, Evans and Purito yet it is unlikely they will win a GT past that age. As a cycling nut i thought you would understand that instead of being childish as if Horner result was a normal occurance(not implying clinic).

Limiting losses imo. Scared to go too far into the red.

"It's obvious Lance Armstrong is the best cyclist of all time"

Is that why? ;)

I find it unlikely though. The enviornment in Europe and Australia is too different for a convergent evolution to take place. Do you agree?

The most rational explanation I can come up with is that me and that poster you mentioned were both born during the late Paleozoic or early Mesozoic, somewhere near each other, for all that existed (read land) was the wonderful supercontinent Pangea.

Beautiful stage, Aru show, Duarte,Quintana and Rolland showing some climbing panache and off course Evans losing more time. :D

#LaVuelta // Samuel Sánchez liderará el nuevo proyecto de @alo_oficial en 2014.

As great a rider as Samu is, hes going to be 36 next year and this season showed he aint all that at 35. If the team goes ahead, it can't be that good if Samu is the best rider.

I love First take
That explains a lot.
