Are you being serious?

Clarify yourself then? Kittel's mission is accomplished, he will now prepare for the Tour without having killed himself trying to finish the Giro and will continue his reign as emperor of the sprinters.

How does Kittel being ill now make things tougher for Cav in july?

Should be fairly obvious, without Stelvio etc in his legs he will murder Cav in July. At least that will be his plan.

He was always going to withdraw after 10 or so stages so this is less than ideal. Im sure he would prefer to have stayed and won more stages.

I don't believe the fever story for one second. There is no reason one would stop because of a fever on the day of the easiest stage of the Giro.

Wow, you like to jump to conclusions, don't you?

If he has a high fever, something we don't know, then the only reasonable medical decision would be to quit the giro.

I don't think there's any incentive for him to transfer to Italy, something he did, only to drop out in a stage he simply can't lose given his performance so far. It can't be his form, it can't be the stress this stage puts on his body, at least, not if he's fit from a medical perspective.

They're neutralizing it because of wet roads? You've got to be kidding me, it's got to be something more then that?

If it really is nothing but wet roads, they need to harden up. If I was a rider i would attack and solo to the win right now. How do wet roads stop them from being able to race?

It's ridiculous. It's the riders make the race motto.

They have the power to do whatever they feel like doing, because they cannot get a full collective sanction.
