Apparently times will be taken from 1st time over the finish line then they will race for stage win, looks like GC guys don't want to crash and ruin there hopes.

So if a group is ahead, they'll get time on everyone else? Even if they are later caught?

Why don't we just have a little lottery to determine the winner of this stage?
This sport is going soft by the day.
Soft sprinters.
Soft GC men.
We only have Hansen and Stannard left.

Someone (of the GC riders) should attack just before entering the circuit then and gain time.

It would be nice, but no one (at least from the WT teams) will take such action. It might backfire.

This exactly, If a rider did this he will become forever more a favorite of mine no matter who the rider is.

It doesn't even have to be a GC rider. Just someone that will show they're not a little girl like everyone else...you know what, in light of the little girls in the boko haram conflict they don't even deserve to be called little girls. At least they would show they're not your average pro cyclist.

In past times they descended mountains without brakes on their bikes but now they can't even race on flat roads because of a little rain?

What a bunch of wimps. They need to be reminded of men like this.

"Luxembourgian cyclist Charly Gaul (1932 - 2005) collapses from cold and exhaustion after winning the the Dolomites stage of the Giro d'Italia (Tour of Italy) from Merano to Monte Bondone, near Trento, 11th June 1956. Rain storms, wind and heavy snow in the mountains forced half the riders to abandon the stage. Gaul went on to win the Tour."

(the opposite of the usual intermediate sprint)
Any one have an ETA for the 1st time over the finish line?

We don't know what's going on. However, these stages are **** anyway. The only thing that can happen, is that GC men fell and abandon.

Yep, +1. plus this guy as well. He raced the same Giro with a twice fallen upon broken collarbone and still came 2nd to Gaul.

What a joke, some pointy head Brussels bureaucrats must have assumed command here, but lets not call them girls, I'm sure the womens race would have no problem killing this in the rain.
