Lol, the critics have become very silent all of a sudden

Anyway, impressive win from Bouhanni after the mechanical he had at less than 15k from the finish. Wasted a lot of energy there.

Lost opportunity for Nizzolo. He was clearly the fastest, but lost 30 metres in that last corner.

Swift failed again, didn't make it into top 10

Did you not see the last 2k's?! He was wiped out in one of those crashes where half of cannondale went down too.

Fitting that Grande Nacer won today _O_

Let's hope he knocks out the other sprinters the next sprints as well.

You're and Cance>The Rest are right.

Truly a shame. :(

Nacer is a fitting winner as well though.

the worst stages are the ones you dont see because the weather grounds all the helicopters

Oh, he was down?

Yeah it looked like it and EBH too, he was only about 10 riders back when that carnage started, then all that were left afterwards were Giant and a couple of others. I saw at least 2 Sky hit the deck with a few Cannondale.

Are you kidding? Many teams and riders wanted to go, but couldn't because of the actions of some. Who-ever wants to race, must be able to do so. If they would've raced those same corners in wetter conditions, they wouldn't have been surprised like they were now.

Next time, we'll cancel P-R because some teams think it might be a bit tricky.

This a 3 week race. There's a difference.

OK. Does this mean that from now on when there is a rain we will stop racing?

This will not add to much to an atractivity of the sport. Bacause that is what I like on this sport - that they have to suffer a lot of time and prove they are real worriors. I just love the races like M-SR last year.

Moral knights have arrived. Cmon, when the riders were not riding it was dry and there was nothing going on. Don't use a sudden rain drop in the final round to prove their supposed 'being right'

Well, we saw the riders talking heatedly at the front of the field at one point. Maybe they were arguing about wanting to race, or maybe they were just talking about Game of Thrones.

roads are probably less grippy too down there

when they're dry most of the time they get dusty and greasy, combine that with a bit of occasional rain and you get a very slippery combination

then you have the tight turns of a circuit and i suppose its a bit like short track speed skating

Neutralising the last lap was the correct thing to do. Roads are not safe over there even in dry conditions. Which brings us to the real question: why designing a stage there if it's not safe in the first place?

I'm hearing Scinto now: he's known for always begging his riders to attack + he doesn't have a GC rider and yet he agrees that neutralising it was the correct decision. I guess this tells a lot.

What's up with Sky, it seems like the world doesn't like them and they have been rocked by injuries.

An hour before however the roads were still wet, they would have been close to the finish then and we would have had more crashes. Still the guys that wanted to race should have been able to.

+1, IMO it was stupid to neutralize the race in the first place. The fact that they would have finished on dry roads had it not been neutralized shows this.
