Sorry, but you're wrong.

I'm right just look at it again. And Kwiat wasn't there for sure :) Just Kreuz, Moreno, Nibali, Mollema I think, one BMC, Vanendert, Valverde.

You're the one who should look at it again :) Kwiatkowski bridged with Bardet.

2:33 Kreuziger attacks, Nibali just covers. 4:33 no Kwiat or Bardet in the group. They joined the group in only in 4:59 when there is rest of the peloton only 5 seconds behind. No way Kwiatkowski joined the group with Gilbert and Vanendert as you say. And it isn't Lampre guy who tries to bridge later I think, but anyway, by the time it was sure that break will be caught because there was no cooperation at all, everybody just sat behind Kreuziger and Moreno most of the time.

Oh come on, Nibali clearly attacked before Kreuz. How is that 'just covering'? And don'tbe so nitpicky, I didn't mean Kwiat joined together with Phil and Vanendert. I just named a few guys who were in that group at a certain point.

It was Fuglsang who attacked before Kreuziger, Nibali just followed his wheels. Truth about Kwiat is that he more wasn't that group than he was, what you wrote was misleading. He joined the group moments before it was swalloved by peloton.

I didn't watch the race (haven't watched much cycling this year due to being ill and other stuff) but when I saw the results in the morning, I knew straight away that it wasn't a great edition. The major issue I have with Gerrans is that his major results are all a product of him just wheelsucking and coming out of the wheel in the final few hundred metres. Whether it be his victory this year in TDU with Wilunga Hill, his win in MSR or his win in Liege, there is no panache involved. He has a palmares that someone like Evans should have in the classics. Partially due to bad luck and the style of modern racing, Evans does not have LBL to his name but he is a far better rider than Gerrans in these classics. Evans' major career victories have all been a result of being one of the best riders and also showing guts. I can't say the same for Gerrans.

Unfortunately there are more races won by wheelsucking than by more honourable means, like Cancellara TTing away from the group at the end. I'm not a fan of sprinters, having had more than my fair share come past at the end of a long race having not seen them all day. And even Cancellara is protected for a fair part of a one day race.

So if someone is going to win by sprinting away at the end (from the small group left) then why not Gerrans?

If its panache you are after then get sprinters banned.

Nibali attacked from the peloton. Kreuz just happened to accelerate from the first group right before Nibali was about to catch him and Nibali just couldn't go any faster. Had nothing to do with 'covering'.

What's misleading about that  it's not even relevant who joined the group when, since I was talking about Fuglsang doing a stupid move.

Nibali went after Kreuziger, who accelerated first.
Misleading was this: "Fuglsang decides to up the tempo again and launches Valverde to the front group moments later Gilbert, Vanendert, Kwiatkowski etc. join the group. Then they have like a 10" advantage when a Lampre riders tries to bridge on his own and Fuglsang responds and drags the whole group back to that Lampre guy."
