I feel bad for Costa....I would have liked to see him win....the curse of the rainbow jersey I guess.

Costa really needs to try something tomorrow on Col d'Eze. If Betancur really still is 5kg's overweight, maybe that is where he could suffer the most.

team Sky ‏@TeamSky 5 Min.

Geraint Thomas has just crossed the finish line 7min 12sec down at #ParisNice. A brave effort to get back on his bike after his late crash.

at least not heavily injured

True. No way Costa will be able to take time on Betancur on those final hills.

Gutted for GT, he was looking so good.

bear in mind he rode the Tour with a seriously knackered pelvis! He's like the black knight from Monty Python & the Holy Grail!

The Dutch Purito strikes again. Betancur ain't got nothing on him... except for luck.

Slagter is an impressive uphill sprinter indeed but Betancur isn't in peak condition yet and he still wins stages. IMO His best is better than Slagter's

Anyway, these two will battling for the part of the next decade in the uphill sprints and FW.

Awesome by the Butcher!

Guess he might've won PN without the mechanic yesterday

Possible but I really don't think so. Slagter didn't have any real separation when he went yesterday and he was still a good ways out. I think Betancur was always going to win that one. A shame about his mechanical though. Without it, today would have been much more interesting.

keep telling that yourself to comfort you
Come on, even you should have seen that Slagter was the strongest yesterday as well... even stuck in one gear.

Sure, in the high mountains Betancur is better, but in this race, definitely not.
