Congrats to the winner and thanks for running the game. According to my analysis the 2014 classics series was unusual compared to the past three editions. In the past it was two or three star riders who scored most of the points. This time around the points were spread amongst more riders - maybe reflecting a generational change in the classics? The three big stars of the past three years (Cancellara, Boonen and Gilbert) are slowly on their way out and new classic star riders emerging (Terpstra, Degenkolb, Vanendert, Kwiatkowski - to just name a few), it seems. I went for a boring predictable big name combo and got punished for it - missing depths in the team and failing to identify upcoming riders. Well done to those who dug a bit deeper and left the big names out, choosing a more balanced team and they got rewarded this time. While I do ok in other CQ games I really struggle with the Classics Game every year. I can not even pronounce half of the riders that score good points for the winning teams. Those players all most be Belgians or Dutch to know this upcoming hard men of the classics. Nevertheless, great fun for me playing it. Many thanks.
