Already several riders tweeted about the huge crowds on the road today, really incredible support! Glad the UK has got behind the Tour in such a positive way!

will UK go crazy if CF win tomorrow and keep the yellow until the end:eek:

Wow Cav..once again at fault for a crash. His own fault and problem if he cant continue. Sadly Gerrans got some of it as well, hopefully he will continue.

The good news is that @simongerrans is up and looks to be OK. Further details to come as we get them in. #OGErocks

Sounds like he'll be alright to carry on.

obvious CAV's fault, looks like he wants to jump out of his line. anyone said otherwise is just pure blind!

bear in mind those pictures are not the whole story.............it will be interesting to hear the official verdict

my feeling is that it was more of an unlucky tangle rather than fault by either party

neither rider appeared to deviate far from their line

but video I have watched was not clear

Have no doubt that before the day is out Cavendish will do an interview blaming, Gerrans, someone's dog or maybe Wicca for getting in his way and causing this "terrible" accident and it really isn't fair, and I wanted to win here because this is where I grew up and ........

In other words normal detestable Cavendish.
If he's got any brain at all he will realize that this is a great chance to improve his image and won't waste it.

Cav tried to force gerrans out the way, gerrans handlebars then hit Coquard's and Gerrans was forced back into Cav. Cav leaning into Gerrans did not cause the crash it was Gerrans handlebars hitting Coquard's.

I'm still seeing Talansky down 4 minutes on the official website. Where are you guys seeing no time lost?

on official website, click stage tab. anyway it is a waning for AT, don't stay at the back of the peloton, next time he may not be so lucky

agreed. He can redeem himself by apologizing to Gerans and guys like Greipel to whom he screwed their chances at a stage victory by his selfish actions.

But why did Gerrans handlebars hit Coquard's?
