no need to rank. with a GC rider in front (Pineau), there is no freaking way the break is going to survive.
Jrod being jrod, he will win.

Pineau isn't a GC rider.

I just dont understand why the stupid GC guys ride to ruin the chances of the breakaway experts.

stupid job Pineau. stupid!!

the peloton will now never allow the break to have a real chance of winning

Pineau is 40 minutes down...

Doubt he is a GC threat to anyone in the top 10.

He knows he isn't good enough to beat Contador/Nibali ^_~

Many people on this forum have stated otherwise... Porte has a decent chance tbh but won't take that chance because he hasn't the bottle

4 minutes already? Damn so that potential for entertaining first half of the stage as everyone wants breakaway, ends up with first couple of riders to try forming the BOTD after a couple of kilometers.

Looks like a long wait for the excitement now.

And that was pretty much a complete waste too...

No not at all. He didnt really use more energy than was used in the peloton (as he didnt work at all) and that gave TS an alibi not to have to work at all, and he served as a safety vent in case of any unforseen attacks happened.

Rodriguez and Sagan closing a little now. With Sagan's descending he should pick up the intermediate sprint.

Edit: Closing more than a little now ...

Well alot of sport is mental, if he's written himself off then he doesn't have that chance - unless he is playing possum, but that's a small chance indeed.

oops.

i made a mistake b/w pinot and pineau.

by sending Westra up, Nibali doesnt have to put any of his teammates to work. probably, he wants to keep as many doms wih him as possible.

the tinkoff boys will soon have to takeover pulling job. probably Valverde may lend a hand

ok, now that they have bridged, will sagan try it or will he wait for the peloton after the sprint? I somehow can't see him wining this agains rodriguez, and probably he doesn't want another top5

Valverde has got Visconti in the break.

Not really. They are playing it cool. No need to waste themselves for Westra. He can´t give Nibali too much pace come the mountains and wont be of any use when the ships are down. Tinkoff will work eventually but not this early.

Let them burn their matches piece by piece :)
