I think you could be proven wrong.

He is on a big mission to prove he can lead a team. Look at his performance today, serious determination. He would have finished closer for the unlucky crash.

Yep, Porte is in play.
I expect him to take time already before the 1st rest day.
If he reaches PN 2013 form he can win this race, but we haven't really seen that form since.

Looks just as skinny now imo.

Does nobody else see Lil Richie winning this tour?

He is in a great position, he has put time into all GC contenders bar Nibali. 1:54 behind is not much with his superior TT and if he's in last years climbing form then he will be second best behind Contador. He is also very fresh after not racing much this year and look what that did for Horner last year.

I really think that the good question is "will sky allow him to win it, even if he is able to ?'. I am really not sure about it.
Last year sky tried really hard to prove that Porte isn't the best climber behind Froome, with (in my opinion) lot of ridiculous faking.

I guess sky would be happy with a third or fourth place without brightness to preserve their credibility.

2k posts, 200k views for a week one flat stage. New record, surely?

Anyone got a link to highlights that are longer than just the last kms.?

Any news on Zandio? He fell badly when Froome did for the final time and finished 32 minutes down.

If Porte wins the TdF does he stop Froome from riding in 2015 who in turn stops Wiggins from riding? :p

ASO have shut down all links and Tour replays.

Torrent feeds might be your best bet now.

So on a wet Roubaix Cancellara would get dropped by Nibali. That's interesting, Vincenzo should take a look to the weather forecast in Apeil and get a cobblestone for his trophy set.

You do realize that wasn't P-R, and they both peaked at vastly different times of the year...because of their specific goals. You do understand that much about training and cycling, right?

Or are you suggesting that Nibbles would have a chance at the full Monty during the spring? Because that's just stupid.

In all the years i have followed cycling and that was the best stage ever in the tour de france.Nibali and Fuglsang where just awesome to see and can cellara suffering aswell.Boom the great dutch cross rider was also pure class, and the win well deserved.Contador was ok (although losing some time)but his team where with him all the way.Froome needs to learn how to ride in wet conditions?as he crashed without even riding on the cobbles?ppfftt

wouldnt it be ironic if Porte won the GC after all the criticism of Sky having 'no plan B' after dropping Wiggins!
