Don't want to see guys getting hurt, but this is all part of racing. Skipping sections or days like this diminishes the race. Winning in these conditions only makes the victory and sport that much more impressive!

I think some GC candidate is going to get screwed by this rule that tire changes can only come from the team car.

Apparently a lot of riders have put band aids on hips and shoulders to somewhat soften up any crashes

The bunch is definitely more nervous in the tour this year. How many times have you seen Contador riding second wheel with 5 kms to go in flat stages?

The problem for Froome now is exactly Wiggins' last year at the Giro: loss of confidence in your means in conditions like this...and with the cobbles.

Does that mean taking teammates' bikes is not allowed?

When will you say it is ok for Froome to lift in a car to Arenberg?

I am not even a SKY or Froome fan. I do wanna see Contador crush him in the mountains. I just dont want a lot of damn excuses for SKY when Contador does beat him

This. He has to be completely gutted mentally. He hasn't even reached the dangerous part of the race and he's already hit the tarmac.

I dont like Froome, but I really dont want him to lose cos of crashes. Want him to be beaten fair and square
Crashing is part of racing, so it's fair. Evey rider is subjected to the same conditions.

Crashing can happen to anyone.

But that's 3 times now in the last two races. He's become Anatomic Jock Race Froome again.

That's allowed, I presume. What I don't understand is why that rule is allowed for Paris Roubaix, but not here. Makes no sense on the surface.
