crazy stage - love it !!!

Sagan MUST control his energy - he could have won had he waited to the sprint and not attack on the descent.....

If Sagan wanted a leadout he shouldn't have put his team on the front for 200 kilometres

Maybe he knows his team is too weak to survive the climbs anyway

Ok finale for a flat stage, but too bad about all the crashes. Some are probably due to increased fatigue.

Anyway strong performance by Kwia and Trentin who got it right.

Sagan will have to wait a bit for the next opportunity.

Problem is, if he doesn't on a stage like this, there's a good chance no-one will bother since he's expected to win every time. Not to mention that making days like this hard is how he wins the Green jersey.

Why didn't Sagan just wait for the sprint ? Seemed pointless and a waste of energy.

what if he didnt go with Van avarmaet and then Albasini might not have chased down Van Avarmaet and Sagan would have ended up chasing it himself

Maybe. One of those finishes. Sagan must of thought they had a chance to stay away. At least it saved GVA getting another second.

Lol at the armchair experts!! It aint easy winning races even if u are the strongest when u are up against 20 other guys. Sagan didnt wait for the sprint coz he didint know for sure it would go down to sprint, and even if it did no guarantee he gets a clear run and a win

Orica Green-Edge gradually taking out all the GC contenders, one by one, bit by bit, pushing Richie towards the yellow. This smells of a Whitey conspiracy. Never underestimate Whitey.

It looked like they could have stayed away but Gerrans wanted this really bad

Agree , He didn't have any teammate , if he had waited for the sprint , the whole peloton would have attacked him , just like stage 2. Besides , his tactics was near perfect , he lost by nearly nothing.

Pfff, that was like 2cm away from victory. Good leadout from Kwia and Sagan started the sprint sec too late.

Vaughters blaming Gerrans for that crash :D

Nibali and Talansky are like the only GC riders still good on time going in to the mountains. Guessing Talansky is going to lose a bit more time before the rest day with crash.

Effin A y'all, gonna be a good mountains week coming up.

JV full of ****. Gerrans has no fault. Talansky was loking the other way.

Surprised at JV's comments there. Talansky wandered looking elsewhere around him and was at fault himself.

Vaughters (on Talansky) says "He's fine, what he said was I want an apology from Gerrans!"

An apology for what? Talansky looking the wrong way??
