did you watch the horner interview? he said his job is staying at Costa's wheel.

Cool! About time Costa was told that he needs to be support for Papy.

Spilak is a good prediction. I think Albasini will get it from the break.

Hmm, are there any "Hidden gems", that can win tomorrow and in the mountains?

Need some tips for my Fantasy team :D

Thanks!

I'm giving you a well hidden gem. Špilak to win at least one stage. Although he is gonna lose 30min in other stages he won't try to win. Same can be said fot Purito though he doesn't look to be ready just yet, so tomorrow is still early for him imo.

Anyway, Nibali to not lose time to Contador.

What a stupid poll?

Not voted because its a stoopid poll.

First decent climbing stage and the poll is about Sagan?

Either I dont know **** or Sagan is gonna be out of the top 5 for the first time this year.

And WTF does vino mean ????

Dumbkoff:confused:

Apologies for my last post.

I wrote it before reading the thread which is a schoolboy error.

Because it seems that everyone else thinks its a stoopid ****ing poll.

I appreciate the originator of the thread as he makes good addittions and comments to threads.

But on essentially fundamental parts on the CN Forum such as a stage discussion on the TDF, it would be common sense to leave out immature horse play.

Why none of the moderators listened to Netserk on page 1 is remarkable. Maybe they only awake at night??? Muhahaha

Stupid Poll - Get rid of it!!

The poll is for kicks, nothing serious about it really. Sagan top 5's 7 stages in a row, would be hilarious if he kept it going(especially without winning).

Otherwise... good stage to see how Valverde is, I hope he makes a race of it. I know he doesn't give a **** about winning the tour, but if he goes for podium he will need to gain time and that will spice things up a bit. I wouldn't be surprised to see Valverde be in top5 of GC after this stage if one or two teams drill it on the mountains.

Well I know that and so does everyone else. But having a poll makes the thread about the poll. And having a stupid poll makes the discussion stupid which tomorrows stage isnt.

Fair play to Red Rick, my beef is with the Moderators. They either read the early complaints and ignored them or they are asleep or they condone it. Hence the panty poll.

As per Valverde, well, I would love to see a sharp attack and I am not so sure anyone would follow. Nibali watching Contador. Contador watching Nibali. Would like to see JVDB or TJVG have a crack but might feel sore from todays crashes.?

Yea I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few of the top20 or so in the GC aren't feeling too good due to crashing. Opportunity for those who feel fine!

Also, I think the thread will forget about the poll. Too much to talk about stage victory and GC wise to give the poll any time once the race is on.

Yeh well, there are a lot of bruised riders out there. As you say, someone who feels good must attack. Just cannot see Nibali or Contador following anyone right now? Maybe I'm wrong?

Nibali does have a history of bonking a little in the final kilometer at times. But is that the Nibali of this year? He also does quite well in the first week and quite well on hills so we'll see.

It's great opportunity for Contador and the rest to take time on Nibali and Birdsong. Neither of them are particularly punchy.

I hope that Scarponi will shine tomorrow, he is important for Astana on a stage like this.

Contador, kicking it out of the saddle.

Then: top GC guys +5-10 seconds.

One GC guy to lose serious time. Not sure who. Maybe TJ or Talansky after hitting the deck yesterday.

It sure looks like a tricky little one

I recall it being very uneven and difficult when I rode it. I guess that's fairly obvious from the profile.

What I mean is the steep parts don't feel as consistently steep as that would indicate, more up and down all the time.

VDB also crashed heavily in the final

Might not be crash related - it's almost a natural law that there's always one GC rider who doesn't have good legs on the first day with some tough climbs.

The natural law holds that they almost always come good too - which almost always leaves everyone speculating 'Hmmm....imagine if they didn't lose 10 minutes on the first climbing stage....'

Who will it be?

Mollema?

Actually Mollema could be a darkhorse for the win - didn't realise he finished 4th at Fleche Wallonne

AT, that is a heavy fall . He will feel the effect tomorrow morning.
