Why do you hate Sagan? Even though he is a favourite he still lightens up the race most of the times and takes responsibility. Because he is a showboater?
Dunno about LS, but his RVV 13 antics were way off the mark.

Good stage, this!

Just a continuation of his year. Nothing special, and it will remains the same way this Tour

Nothing special but he's in 3rd place at World Tour rankings only behind Contador and Quintana, but yet nothing special, after winning Suisse, 2nd Paris-Nice and 3rd on Romandie.

I wish all the riders had a "nothing special" year like Costa.

2nd in PN, 3rd in Romandie and wins the TdS. . . "nothing special"

Did anyone other than Froome and Contador have a good year so far?

Leave the Froome/Contador analyzing for another thread. This day belongs to Nibbles and Astana. Really brilliant riding from the entire team.

Surprised by him, very nice performance but i am not expecting to see him fight for a GC top 10.

I wasn't very impressed with Costa to be honest

Costa's positioning was horrendous. But he has no team support..

Only 77 riders are inside the 10 minutes mark today !

Lots of riders will now be able to go on breakaways without GC teams giving a lick, the sprinters's team (minus OPQS now!) will have to do the work !

Don't bother, if you look at past posts from Arredondo, you know that his hate on Costa is very high, Mollema aka The great is the real deal and having a fantastic season. ;)

All races are not on the level of a Tour de France. Especially not PN this year.

Costa as a team leader is a good rider, but not a guy who can fight against the biggest riders a whole year. He will finish the Tour on his level, so a place between 6 and 10th. Really good, but not a real factor in this race.

Valverde?

Sometimes I really dont understand the tactics of the riders. Why doesn't BMC try to bring back Nibali so that Van Avermaet could contest for the win? I know Sagan was there but he had chased a lot already and didn't look like chasing anymore. Why not take responsibility, so that Van Avermaet at least had the CHANCE to win instead of just letting go.

Konig, Pinot, Frank, Rolland, Schleck (f), Horner, Ten Dam are all in the second group at 16 seconds.

Oh and for those on ninja Zubeldia watch, he actually finished in the front group ! :p

No brain in that bunch. Everybody so afraid of Sagan that they let the yellow slipped between their fingers hoping that Sagan will catch every attack.
exactly this, pathetic, and some teams say there is not a chance to attack and get jaune in Tour...

It also says something that Nibali gets rid of his national jersey first chance he gets:D:D

Because they didn't want sacrifice TVG to do so.

Exactly, if you have multiple riders and one has a reasonable chance to win why would you not want to?

yea, you were right. Helped by Garmin of course.

Perfect situation for the rest of the race.

Other observations. Tinkoff and Movistar looks weak team wise.

I'm not hating Costa at all. I think he's a class rider, but not a rider who is of the level of Contador/Froome/Valverde. So no surprise that he's not really making a impact in these kind of races. However, he could become in the future.

And i don't like Mollema at all. I don't like Dutch riders at all, but that's just some deeper thing in me which we have to discuss more properly:p

How much of a sacrifice is it to take a strong pull from 1,5 km to 0,5 km to go? That shouldn't really affect him in a couple of weeks.

Great Win for Nibali. Contador strong and in complete control. Froome in a panic for seconds.
