Martin's team is even way more pathetic than Contador's in the Daupine, so that opens up possibilities for tommorow

If you think that's bad.. then what to make of Pinot?

Pinot is supposed to be ill.

Costa just struggled too much after the TT I think. Will reserve judgement until tomorrow.

Why did FDJ pull on the front at the peloton before the final climb then?

Pinot is apparently sick, Costa doesn't seem to have such excuse.

Also considering tomorrow's climb is a false flat grind Martin has this in the bag i guess.

Cav, Renshaw, Steegmans, Velits and Trentin. What did you expect them to do on a mountain stage?!

He was worse than Tony Martin on a climb, that is not ok for a guy that says he wants a good GC place in the Tour.
Kreuz and Mollema took 18s on an awful climber. I guess they won't be a factor in the Tour as well. Lots of other climbers were dropped earlier and lost more time. It was an average performance, unspectacular but let's see what happens tomorrow.

Tony Martin to brush up his wheelsucking skills. He will be lucky if he didnt lose yellow jersey in this stage.

Seems like I was right.

TM managed to brush up his wheelsucking skills behind Costa.

What a ride by Chaves!! Orica's stage win run continues.

Kreuziger and Mollema both look good. they attacked late. if they and their teams had worked together, the two of them could have reached podium spot by now.

wow chaves, doesn't surprise me. but he's back sooner than I expected 6 months ago. he's the true future greenedge gc man and they know it. that's why they signed him to a huge 3 year contract just on watching him sit on a bike for 2 seconds

Do you think he should try for GC in the Vuelta? Or a more relaxed approach chasing stage wins?

Mat White also said in interviews they trully believes in Chaves. They want to bring him very slowly because they know he's got great potential. In the Vuelta he will be their team leader, and i can't see a lot of better climbers around there.

Among those listed, ppl should not confuse Velits as peter velits, who can hold on a bit in the climbs. this is Martin Velits. he is not a climber at all.

What the heck happened to Belkin? i thought they should have really nabbed this stage.

Too be honest with this level neither 3 will manage to do anything relevant at the Tour.

Great ride by Chavez really thought today would suit him and being more of a pure climber as well.

Frank will be disappointed not to make up time but he really looked flat today.

You wonder how much time Froome or Contador would have taken here.

Or any of the Giro guys.. Aru, Kelderman, Majka, they'd all win easily
