Should go in the break IMO. If he's in good form and can make it to verbier with a decent enough gap he has a chance against whoever is with him. If he just waits and tries to hang in there as long as possible he'll likely wind up some anonymous place (and only us Andy fans will take note ).

At the very least he would get some exposure being in the break.

I am in if Frank does this right he can gain time on Rui Costa camp. Pinot his allie here as no doubting he is a better climber than Rui Costa but has a lot more time to try make up.

Andy can go for a stage here. He's far enough in the GC to be allowed to go either in a breakaway or attack at the bottom of the climb. He also can follow till the top and try his luck in the finale. It's on Andy to choose the way he'll show the form.
I'd prefer an attack from the bottom, passing the breakaway leftovers on the way to the top and never being in danger from GC contenders behind.
That would be a statement.

I know what you mean. I thought only us irrational Andy fans hyped him to win everything. Nevertheless I'm greatly enjoying all the Andy love.

I'm going with Pinot. He'll put in a couple of digs to thin out the ranks and then one final thrust to the hearts of his rivals leading to a solo win.

For Andy, ideally staying with the best for length of Verbier would be the biggest boost to his confidence, which I think he needs even more than a win from from a break. I hope he does well.

i think the same. staying in the breakaway is too risky with such an easy stage until the climb. plus he could always say to the team to chase the breakaway no?i hope he still has some authority
