Well done Wiggins, really pushed himself there and actually got a gap on Rohan Freakin' Dennis didn't he?

Nice win from Chavez and Yates continues to impress.

Sagan. Nice ride for a sprinter. Wasn't him though, was it? The Tour Tracker thing was a bit misleading. Thought it was a bit odd.

Cowardly raced by Dennis. He had nothing to lose by trying an attack. Oh well.

He also obviously had nothing more than being able to follow.

Strong Wiggo, but it sucked that Dennis never tried anything (obviously he was unable to) and that the only guy who wanted to really attack him, Stetina, didn't have it in him to create the gap either.

Waited this late to see a colombian win and Machado lose his third place...

...Cali used to be a good race until now.

Good year for Greenedge.

I'll give it to Wiggins, the guy looks great on a bike, so natural and relaxed, like it's just an extension of his body. Total opposite of Froome.

Yes, it was obvious like 10 seconds after I wrote that (when he dropped) :p

Before that he looked pretty comfortable imo.

Incredibly boring race !

The paved climbs in Southern California just aren't that challenging for riders of this caliber.

In fact, they are going to descend just about the only road that would separate the roulers from the climbers tomorrow. So, no big losers.

The podium seems set unless tragedy strikes.

Only the best in the world can out climb Wiggo if he gradient isnt super high. The best wernt there and the gradient was too bad. He is too strong for any of the competition at this race.

maybe it will be co-leaders for Sky for le tour after all! hard to believe wiggo will want to roll up the last 2km of the MTFs after getting into top shape

Wiggo happier than on the Diablo podium ;-) Seems to be as strong as he's ever been...

Hyperbole. Second rate competition. He will never regain the form of 2012. However his climbing is remarkable given his P-R performance.

Sky's team much better today, but I don't think Wiggo needed it. Could have controlled the entire climb by himself today.

Orica with the two strongest climbers in the race.

It will be interesting to see Sky's TDF strategy now with Wiggins in good form. I honestly can't imagine Wiggins working in support of Chris Froome, but can they leave him out ? Presumably Froome will do the Dauphine & if he's in any kind of decent form will be the team leader. I have trouble seeing them both on a team together.
