For someone like Purito to come out and say Froome looks in worse condition than this time last year and Froome to still win shows just how far the others have to go to catch him and make the Tour even half competitive. I really like Froome, he looks ugly on a bike but he always attacks and goes for the win even when he isn't in top shape.

Good luck to the rest at the Tour, I can't see anyone putting enough time into him over the mountains to keep it interesting for the last TT. I know anything can happen in a long GT but if he doesn't have a crash/mechanical it's going to be an annihilation.

Uran, Purioto and Tj beat 2013 times also

Not surprising, having watched the video of the last year's climb. There was a lot of cat-and-mouse going on between the contenders last year, so times are going to be slower, whereas this year it sounds like a straight grind all the way to the top.

I general though, the giro (and even the Vuelta for that matter) has been more interesting the last couple of years than the tour

Tour 2011? Tour 2010?

Giro was far better both years.

You're serious? Giro 2011 was just complete domination from Contador. Quite boring, if you're not a fanboy. Giro 2010 was really good, but in 2011 we saw a fantastic fight between Schleck and Evans, with Voeckler who hold his yellow yersey for a very long time. I will never forget the stages to Galibier and Alpe d'Huez. Even the Giro 2010 couldn't match it.

With the word far, you admit you didn't watch closely the Tour back in those days.

Dude, did you see more than just the highlights? First two weeks of the Tour was a yawn. The Giro had a lot of action on several days.

Dude, i saw the whole Giro. If you red my whole post, i said the Giro 2010 was really good, but 2011 was just boring in terms of first place in GC. Yeah, we did saw a nice stage to Val di Fassa, but did you ever had the idea they could crack Conta?

Tour 2011 had lots of action on several days. Remember the stages to Alpe d'Huez, Galibier, or the crazy descent to Pinerolo? Or the hectic first week where a lot of GC guys crashed and saw there dreams shattered? Or the exciting last TT? Only the Pyrenees were quite boring, but still we saw a nice win for Sammy in front of his homecrowd.

Did you saw the whole Tour, dude?
