I was a huge Jens fan. My faves are the animators and the hardmen. He's too entrenched in the old school to be on a committee against clinical, much less representing new generation riders. Vino is a villain, still one of my faves. Jens just needs to go home and hang with his family. Call it good and leave cycling be. His legacy will last I think, but only because he's lucky and wasn't a dbag like like some of the same generation. The sooner that gen goes the better off cycling is, despite how much fans may appreciate their efforts.

That's probably true, although in the long run I think he'll be remembered for for the later portion of his career, which is probably a good thing.

Breakaway with decent advantage. The winner of a stage might be in it.

The GC contenders most likely going to come in all together

Carpenter in the break. 2nd stage win ahead!

edit : 15:06:37 MDT
We can confirm that there is but one Hincapie rider in the breakaway, and it's Chris Butler, not Robin Carpenter.

It would appear we had lots of race action today. Too bad we couldn't see any of it.

Good win for Didier. Van Garderen strong again.

Majka still tired......

Yeah, TV coverage has been pretty bad. but I do enjoy the idea of having a stream directlty on tour tracker.

Will be very interesting to see whether Rafal can hold on to 2nd place in GC over TT
It looks to me that he is staying with TJVG due to sheer determination, and it will be harder to do at TT....

After climbing and sprinting the Tvetcov show will continue in the TT.

Can't believe I just sat through a couple of hours of what was effectively the Phil & Paul radio show. There must be something wrong with me.

Actually he is pretty good in TT. Last year he was 12th in Vail.

Apparently he is third now in GC after Teejay and Majka.

Nice! He seems to be new standout this year at this race.

Yet they managed to get clocks up showing the elapse time since both the winner & the yellow jersey had finished, never seen it before and found it quite useful.

Yeah, thats a great idea and should be used in other races as well though. Would prefer to see riders for more than 300m before the finish. Climbs, attacks werent shown at all

Tommorow I am hoping for better quality of coverage. Should be easier to do because of how short TT is. How is Danielson in time trials?
I still think that Majka has enough of a gap to hold on to 2nd place unless he drops from exhaustion. And it seems like the winner is known, and then there are 3 guys fighting for remaining podium spots.

He is generally a very poor time trialist. This year he hasn't been impressive at all. However, in the past two years (even though he didn't do much anywhere else) he managed to do a good time trial at the USA Pro challenge...he might be able to pull something off special.
