A good first win for 2014, but I want to see how he says he felt and if he can build on this performance. Seeing the Tour of Oman results, Froome is already in great form compared to 2013
We dont know that.

Every cyclist has arrived at the Alto do Malhão. Only the Internet left now.

lol:D

Contador!!! Nice to see him winning again, now don't make us wait a year again :D Seriously though, I hope he can build from here instead of having it like last season where he didn't seem to improve throughout the season.

Regarding Rui Costa, I'm happy to see he's in good shape going for his best ever result in Algarve. It's a shame he didn't manage to take that first win out of the way.

Kwiat..there's not much more to say other than congratulations. He rode a smart, agressive race and he's clearly in some sick shape. Let's see how he does when the big races begin.

Finally, it's great that "portuguese" riders like Edgar Pinto, Prades and Vilela are riding will and enjoying their time on the spotlight. Who cares about the Volta if they can perform and perhaps get a contract here?

Seeing as Froome obliterated JRod's previous best time on Green Mountain, I would say we do. :D

not to mention, he looks anorexic already on his first race.

Hi guys!

On the first climb to Malhão, Tony Martin was the only teammate with Kwiatkowski, but he did a great job until the last km. He isn't on his best form, but without him it could be hard for Kwiatkowski.

From what a poster, that was on Malhão today, said on a portuguese forum, Contador was absolutely flying compared to Costa and Kwia.
I also was in Malhão and I disagree. Contador fails the first attack and just won 3 seconds on Costa in his 2nd attack. Just 3 seconds. Yes, He was strong, but not "flying compared to Costa and Kwia" ;)

Well he was 200m from the line and said compared to the other 2 he was flying. His words not mine.

Last year it was cat and mouse and headwindy, this year not amd Sky set high pace from the bottom, the times are not compareable at all.Unfortunately.

He looked pretty good in the footage I've seen :)

In your opinion do you think he is fav now or do you think he can hang with Froome in the MTF. He said yesterday suited him well and considering the shortness 3 seconds is an ok gap although it was real steep so its hard to guage but Costa is no mug so it was still good.

Imo id say Froome still looks better but i dont no for sure i think already its a bonus to get a win against good competition as last year was meh he only won San Luis so i think it will be a battle, is he doing T.A? Should be a good test on Prato di Tivo, i feel CF is still the best uphill but it may be closer.:D

I am worried that without Peter Velits, De Gendt is not good enough to help Kwiat in TdF..:(
