also had a dream where alberto attacked, i was on the moto camera, cheered him up, said that he already has 20 seconds lead. but then he suddenly decided that it's better to wait on the others(???? lol) and he crashed in the middle of the group, and it was an absolutely silly crash trust me. of course it wasn't a dream about tomorrow's stage. and hopefully not about the others to come lol
I hate your dreams jens,but keep reporting:D

The section with crosswinds is downhill. Just put a soigneur at the summit and hand the riders a bottle full of lead pellets

15 kg of bottles? like that fitsd on a bike. if there is a lot of wind chaves and quintana will lose many minutes

quintana same as aru , anacona worse (a minute) than murito, thats a ridiculous prediction.

Please educate me on these great Anacona ITT's. On very similar courses I see him come in 150th at the Giro and 164th at last years Vuelta.

What jersey was he wearing?

regular tinkov. i do remember that i climbed off the moto to help him get on the bike but that's it, the dream finished there, i can't remember. i laugh even now though thinking about the crash, he crashed somehow backwards, on his back very slowly. he had his helmet on also. of course naturally, the vuelta was ridden on my local roads where i ride and walk every day ....
i admit that my spanish is very good in dreams': "veinte segundos, alberto, goo go goo goooo":p

curious about how nairo and valverde will end up tomorrow

The climb is nothing extraordinary, really. The majority of the climb has gradients under 5%, and only ramps up significantly for two or so kilometers. Purito will be ahead there, but don't you think that Gesink has an advantage over Purito in the remaining 25,5km's?
2 or 3 years ago Gesink did a few TTs where he was decidedly average on the climbs and then super fast on the descents and the flats, even almost as fast as Cancellara. I doubt he will do so tomorrow, with the Bianchi TT bike, but yeah... you'd expect him to have an advantage over Purito there. He's about 15 kgs heavier.

Yeah. No way the gaps are going to be huge-huge. The difference between Froome and Contador will be 30 seconds at most.

And Contador has the advantage that he starts behind Froome so that he knows his intermediate results.

I had a dream once, a year or so ago, Alberto attacked from far out and got 12 minutes on the peloton  but my dream stopped before the end of the stage

that is the only time I ever dreamed about Alberto:(

I don't like your dream, keeping in mind the last time you dreamed about Alberto :p

I don't know man. I expect a guy like Purito to top 20 tomorrow. The false flat may cheat the viewer.

It's not 4,5% for 8 kilometres, it's up and down all the time. Perfect for riders like Purito and Valverde. Steep, flat, slightly downhill, very steep, flat, steep again and then the climb really begins. The punchy riders should have an advantage before the flat part starts if they go all-in.

Lots of TTing specialists in this race who are question marks form-wise. Cancellara, for instance, has looked bad on even a few of the flat stages... though I imagine he'll come out strong here.

Under normal conditions Froome would put 2 + minutes into Contador but Froome did not look good on stage 9 and Contador looks to be riding very well. I think anything can happen even Contador taking time out of Froome. Like this entire GC part of the Tour everything is completely wide open.

My expectations are:

Martin:
Froome +1:30
Uran 1:45
Contador +2:00
Kelderman & Valverde 2:30
Gesink 3:00
Quintanta & Aru +3:30
Purito +4:00
Anacona +5:00

You mean "under 2013 conditions", right?

Panzerwagen wins the stage. Canc will come in second. rest will be a minute behind

but the GC battle is going to be very interesting.

Doubt any of the main gc men will loose more than 2:30 maximum to each other here. Unless Froome finds his 13 form. In that case someone might loose around 3 min

Prediction gc men:

1.Froome
2. AC 10 - 30 sec
3. Valverde 25 - 40 sec
4. Quintana 35 -50 sec
5.JRod 45 sec- 1 min
6. Aru 1 min - 1.20

Any reason why Malori doesn't finish top 3 here? Behind Tony Martin of course and possibly Froome or Spartacus?

The steep part of the climb could be too hard for him, but you never know. I think he will crush everyone in the itt on stage 21

+1. Seems like a reasonable prediction.

This makes sense. Can't believe that people think that some of the big guns will lose 4-5 minutes. It's not that long and flat.

Not sure about Panzer here. He hasn't looked that good thus far. Top shape Froome would probably beat him but even he is a question mark at this point.
And yeah, Lutsenko could do well if given the chance to go 100%. Might come handy as a reference for Aru too.
Uran will gain a few places in the GC. Hell if he's in Giro shape I wouldn't rule out a podium for him.
