Everybody speaks about Froome, Quintana, Nibali.., very little praise for Thibaut Pinot, he actually did beat 3 of the 4 biggest GC riders at the moment, and he is looking pretty good for the Tour

I really like Pinot ...great climber and all round nice guy

Think he will win a GT in a few years

Henao is allrounder. He has good TT, good climbing and some punch, albeit not as big as hype about it

Anyway König and Porte both should do Tour.

Porte & Konig are lined up for Tour ....Konig may be tired though as hasn't done back to back tours

Tour team is Froome, Porte, Poels, Roche,Henao, Konig, Stannard, Thomas and another ...possibly KIri

But with Poels injury maybe Nieve will replace him

Kennaugh, Rowe & Deignan will be back up IMO

Kennaugh will be there,they can't screw him over again.I think Vasil will be in,instead of Konig.

König said he'll do TdF. There should also be Nieve, Porte, Roche, Henao...that's very strong team.

You forgot to mention the stage the day before where Bertie dropped froome with ease and you also forgot the ITT where Bertie beat Froome as well
The stage Froome won Bertie was not right.
If Bertie had not eased up on his mountain stage win then Froome would not have won the overall.

Get your facts right mate, stop dreaming ....No one can touch Bertie when his game is on.
Vuelta last year Bertie toyed with Froome and Bertie was not on his best form.

Why do you think Froome changed his mind about riding the Giro this year. When the tour route was announced Froome said it was to mountainous and he may ride the Giro instead. Once he knew Bertie was riding the Giro he switched to the tour because he knows he will have a better chance to win a big GT and Bertie will be tired going into the tour.

Froome is a chicken or he would ride the Giro and Tour like Bertie.....cluck cluck cluck

You seem to think winning stages is more important than winning GC...Some Contador fans like to blurry the lines when it comes to him.

Brailsford is not sentimental ...if Kennaugh is not in his top 9 he won't be there

And Cycling Podcast mentioned he is looking around and may leave SKY because he knows he is not guaranteed a place in the Tour

The Froome yo-yo/time-trialing his way up mountains thing seems to have developed because his team was so tired and unprepared in the Vuelta.

Also, Froome was not at 100% after his TdF injury. The scenario is very similar to this race. Froome is probably not quite at the level he has been for the past two years in Romandie, but he is on an upward curve.

Last year's Tour team was laughably poor apart from Porte and Nieve.

I think you're forgetting about the guy who paced Porte across the cobbles and drove the break in the second Alpine stage to give Nieve a shot at the win (but as you can see from my avatar, I'm biased). He's probably been "lying on the beach" for the last couple of weeks and so is not in shape here, but he'll be back for the tour. Kiryenka is pretty solid too.

As for tomorrow, it'll be an intruiging fight for the GC win between Zacharin and Dawg. The better the weather, the better for Dawg. Martin looks in good shape, so it's bets off for the stage win.

yeah, they are taking a short cut through the pedestrian area in the city, there are some cobbles, also some fairly technical corners and so on. Swiss tv showed Küng trying to find the perfect timing to jump over a speed bump on a descent, right before a corner

and yes, there will be rain.

Wouldn't be too sure, it's been some time actually since Froome destroyed the field in a time trial. This Zakarin guy seems like he might just do the time trial of his life.

Zakarin is a TTer first and foremost.
If he's climbing this well, he's more likely to win the GC than not.

watched the last climb in full, Froome by far most powerful , disapointed by Quintana wheelsucking Froome for 3 km's

i guess Quintana and the rest didn't want to help chasing only to prevent Froome winning a valid tactic in the end

Froome usually wins when he is the most powerful by far, which was not the case. Both Zakarin and Pinot were stronger, which results show. He was the strongest of the rest though, stronger than Quintana I agree

Froome's opponents have revealed the best racing strategy to beat him. Hitting the final climb HARRD. It worked in Hazallanas, it might work in the Tour as well. And we might witness spectacular racing. A MTT with a single finish line. How much better can it get?

If Kennaugh had his own opportunities, I think he could be equal with TJVG as a GC contender. Can't be sure of course, but I don't think Kennaugh would always be subordinate to him anyway.

Well, with Froome in topform and a decent team, they'll just pace him according to their WATT calculations at a high tempo and catch them anyway. Contador tried that in the Vuelta.

Maybe when he drops first time, they should just try to work together ONE time. But Froome knows that they'll never do that.
