Might as well call it the Tour de Dawg. Virtually unbeatable here. Too bad Tony isn't here to get outtimetrialled again.

He'll appear a little more human than usual imo. He always does after a crash. Also Tony Martin will be here.

Skysports are such mugs, they have to have a panel for everything so when they don't, they just don't show it have done same with south african cricket, makes no sense with froome racing why they wouldn't show it.

(Probably) to be broadcast by Sky Sports with (international) commentary (feed) by Rob Hatch and Magnus Bäckstedt[/quote]
Is no other network in no other country broadcasting it?

Sporza is in Belgium, I'd imagine some local stations will cover it too.

Yeah, I thought so.

What I was getting at is wondering why in a general introduction to a race in the French speaking part of Switzerland, on a forum where the majority of posters are from mainland Europe, and several others from other countries around the world, by a poster who is himself from Portugal the only tv station mentioned was one from a relatively small cycling country that the majority of people in that country can't even afford anyway. (and that it turns out won't broadcast the race either).

Think it might be on Sky Italia, I have np idea why having got the rights Sky Sports in the UK is not showing this.

I suppose it revolves around if Froome is in Catalunya shape or Andalucía shape. He said he had a good training block in Tenerife so should be ok but then he doesn't tend to come out of crashes very well so his spill in FW last week was not good news. Spilak will surely podium and it will be interesting how the likes of Uran, Bardet and Pinot do here. A stage win for Simon Yates would be nice too!

Well, he's speaking in optimistic tones as far as his chances which usually means he's going massacre everyone.
I don't hold out much hope on anyone beating him unless something unexpected happens (a crash--and let it be clear that I am not hoping for that to happen). Everyone else will be racing for the 2 remaining podium places.

I'm very reserved regarding the performance of the Giro riders.
Those preparing for the Tour should do better.

Why is it that the Giro riders don't a) ride Romandie, or b) ride it for a good overall performance as a lead up?

I can understand Contador not doing so as he is going for the exhausting Giro/TDF double, but I'm not sure why other riders with aims of a top five finish in Milan don't wish to race this event pretty hard; seems like the perfect lead up.

Why as a comparison, do the top TDF GC contenders always race either Dauphne or Swiss in reasonable form (Nibali wasn't great in Dauphne last year, but was still in or around the top ten from memory)?

There's less than a week from the end of Romandie to the start of the Giro. There's almost three weeks from the end of Dauphiné to the start of the Tour.

Trentino is more similar to Dauphiné in that regard.

I do wonder how Van den Broeck will perform. If he intends to do well in the Giro he better shows some semblance of form here.

I didn't have the time to dig where it would be broadcasted, I just assumed Sky Sports would, because they held the rights, and did in fact show the race, the last two years. I also assumed that, if Sky Sports were going to broadcast it, it wouldn't take much for someone to post a link to an online stream. It's not that I chose to mention Sky only, I didn't know other stations were showing it.

Cheers.

Re: 2015, 69th Tour de Romandie: April 28 to May 5 (WT)

According to cyclingfans.com, Sporza, SkySports, swiss Zwei, and BeIN should be broadcasting it. I just checked Sky, and they are not broadcasting it, so sorry. Sporza coverage starts 4:15pm Central European Time, here are a couple of links:
http://original.livestream.com/sporzatv ;
http://www.index-of-stream.com/live/stream/2379ff2b/sporza/

Certainly members can provide some others. BeIN (6) will broadcast it, starting at 15:15 GMT, that is, same time as Sporza. Here are some links:

I don't know german so can't check SRF Zwei's schedule, but here is a link just in case:

Will update OP when I can.

great research in you post above, thanks :)

Cheers. :)

Although most of those links will require you to turn off your add blocker, in case you have it. Which sometimes can be quite annoying.
