Froome might be able to put out even more watts if he learned to rest in group for a few seconds.

Costa also very badly positioned

Hope he isn't having one of those '14 Verbier days.

AKA is average climbing performance since moving to Lampre?

Is looking pretty bad, scratch that, he is getting dropped

This (and Verbier) are just too steep. Besides Verbier '12 he never performed on this sort of climbs.

Of course, something is not right when so many are still ahead of him.

This is not super steep, this is a normal climb. If this doesn't suit him, then climbing doesn't suit him period.

I didn't say it was super steep, I said it was too steep for him. He never performed on these climbs, besides Verbier '12, so that's not a conclusion to take from today. Fine, he's not a climber (he's definetly not a pure climber) but take a look back and tell me what Champex-Lac has in common with Manse, Saas-Fee, Albulapass, Croix Fry... nothing.
